How this website handles your personal data

Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit antoniodevivo.com, why, and what your rights are, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Antonio De Vivo, Caserta, Italy. For any question about your data or to exercise your rights, write to [email protected].

What data is processed

Server logs

Like any website, the server that hosts this site records technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system (user agent) and the referring page.

  • Purpose: keeping the site running and secure (for example detecting abuse or errors).
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: for a limited period, then deleted, unless needed to investigate an incident.

If you click Accept in the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to collect statistics on how the site is used: pages visited, time on page, approximate location (country/city), device, browser and the website you came from. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

  • Purpose: understanding which content is read, to improve the site and the blog.
  • Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you click Decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and no analytics data is collected.
  • Retention: analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Transfers: Google may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Details about the cookies used are in the Cookie Policy.

When you contact me

If you write to me by email or call me, I process the data you send (name, email address, phone number and the content of the message) only to reply and, if relevant, to discuss a possible collaboration.

  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or legitimate interest in replying (art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Retention: as long as needed for the conversation and any following collaboration.

What this site does not do

  • No advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
  • Fonts and images are served from this site’s own server: no third-party content is loaded while you browse, except Google Analytics when you accept it.
  • Links to other websites (for example GitHub or LinkedIn) are subject to those websites’ privacy policies.

Who can access the data

Your data is not sold or shared, except with providers acting on my behalf: the hosting provider of the server and, only with your consent, Google for analytics.

Your rights

Under articles 15–22 GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before.

To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated, for example when new services are added to the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
